The Opportunity
The Development Project Manager coordinates the people, approvals, financing, and schedules that move an affordable housing community from concept to completion. This role works closely with internal construction, asset management, and property management teams as well as public agencies, consultants, lenders, and community partners.
What You Will Do
- Manage project schedules, budgets, due diligence, entitlements, financing milestones, and closing deliverables.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, attorneys, contractors, lenders, investors, and public-sector partners.
- Prepare clear project updates, financial analyses, approval materials, and risk recommendations.
- Support community engagement and maintain productive relationships with local stakeholders.
- Monitor construction progress and help transition completed communities into stable operations.
What You Bring
- Four or more years of real estate development, affordable housing, finance, construction, or related experience.
- Strong project management, financial analysis, written communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and common project management tools.
Helpful Experience
- Experience with LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, public funding programs, or California entitlements.
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, planning, construction, business, or a related field.
